Care Matters achieves continued ISO 9001 certification with Compliant.

Why did Care Matters decide to invest in ISO?

As a leading home care provider in Durham Tees Valley, Care Matters invested in the internationally recognised quality standard (ISO 9001) in 2022 to improve working practices, uphold standards and have the opportunity to bid in local authority tenders.

Operations Manager, Helen Bartle, who managed the project, commented, ‘As our business continues to grow, we felt it was the right time to invest in the ISO 9001 standard, with our team looking to bid for local authority tenders, we knew this would put us in a great position and open further business opportunities.

The Process

Working alongside the Care Matters team, we ensured that all documentation was in place and any information they didn’t have, we created for them, tailored to their business.

Throughout the year, our team kept in contact with Helen and ensured that all information was prepared in time for the yearly audit.

Helen, who was present during the audit, continued, ‘The audit was quite straightforward, all of our staff really embraced the standard so knew to keep processes updated throughout the year, this enabled a smooth process on audit day. This, along with the support from Danielle at Compliant, ensured that we successfully retained the certification.’

The Outcome

Following the yearly surveillance one-day audit, Care Matters successfully retained their ISO 9001 certification with zero non-conformities and maintained their UKAS accredited status.

Helen was delighted with the successful outcome, commenting, ’Our team have worked very hard throughout the year in ensuring that all of our processes and documentation is kept up to date so this is a testament to their commitment. Danielle was brilliant in making sure she requested the correct information from us and then collating everything in time.’
