Why Fire Safe International decided to invest in ISO 9001

Great news for our client, fire safety and respiratory protection specialists, Fire Safe International, as they gain ISO 9001, the internationally recognised quality standard, with our support.

Colette Wassell of Fire Safe International explains “The company were already certified to the SafeContractor scheme, however, following regular requests from our clients with regards to the ISO 9001 standard, we decided this was definitely worth further investigation and investment.

The benefits of gaining the quality standard would include us streamlining our processes and attract new business, especially from larger organisations.”

The Process

ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and the UKAS accredited certification is recognised by businesses all over the world, making it the perfect standard for Fire Safe International to implement.

Colette explained that Fire Safe International’s Director Paul Salisbury was exploring companies that could support with ISO and reached out to Mark after receiving an email campaign from Compliant.

Colette added “Mark made the process very easy and supported us in gathering everything in advance of our stage 1 and stage 2 audits. He helped us to develop any documentation that we didn’t already have in place as evidence and was there throughout the entire process; answering any questions we had.”

The Outcome

When asked about the experience with Compliant Colette highlighted that “This was our first audit and we’ve got to say, it went really well. Mark was available throughout the day and liaised directly with the auditor. We were thrilled with the outcome.”
