Why iplicit decided to invest in ISO 9001 and 27001

Cloud-based accounting software provider, iplicit successfully achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification with Compliant. iplicit’s accounting software is tailored for the frustrated on-premise software user, and organisations that have outgrown entry-level software, tailored, and provides greater flexibility and enhanced levels of financial reporting. The business currently operates in the mid-market business space with registered offices in both London and Bournemouth.

Ed Gairdner Chief Operating Officer caught up with us to tell us about his ISO journey and the experience with Compliant; “We wanted to make sure that we had the right policies, processes and procedures in place to scale the business. We were also invested in having best practice in place to grow iplicit from a product, revenue and people perspective. ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 was the best package for us to show our commitment to our ongoing business development.”

The Process

Compliant use a combination of client documents and tailored templates to create bespoke management systems that are audit proof. Clients that come on board with Compliant are guided through the ISO process and offered support on audit and surveillance days.

Ed explained “A colleague of mine recommended using BAB for certification. BAB passed us 3 ISO certification companies for reference. We reached out to all 3 and asked for recommendations from their clients.

What really appealed to us was the ongoing support from Compliant and having those touch points throughout the year.

It was important to myself and our Director of Engineering to have someone to help us develop our system and lead us through the programme.”

The Outcome

When asked about the experience with Compliant Ed highlighted that “We were thrilled with the outcomes at our Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits. The entire process was extremely smooth and we understand that the hard work starts now. We are excited to get started with our management systems and fully embed all of the documents in our packs.”
