We are delighted to share that Japan House London, the cultural home of Japan in London has achieved ISO 9001 with Compliant!

Japan House London is part of a global initiative led by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with two other Japan Houses based in Los Angeles and São Paulo.

Located on London’s Kensington High Street, the experience is an authentic encounter with Japan, engaging and surprising even the most knowledgeable guests.

We met up with Japan House London’s Associate Director of Operations, Shane Delaney this week to hear about his experience with Compliant and what achieving ISO 9001 will mean for the company.

“We opened to the public in 2018 and as a relatively new company we wanted to ensure that everything we were doing was compliant and guarantee that we were offering quality for all of our stakeholders. ISO 9001 was a good basis for us to build upon.

Becoming ISO 9001 certified meant putting a structure in place for things that we already had and has reassured us and our stakeholders that our existing processes meet with this international standard.

Initially we got in touch with the British Assessment Bureau. They recommended a number of different consultants and we decided that Compliant was the best fit for the Japan House London. Mark offered a one to one more personal approach.

The initial period was very straight forward; Mark was extremely helpful and very much took the lead. As a company we are aware that the real work starts now. We are only at the beginning of the process, and we need to work with Mark to implement the recommendations and ensure ongoing success.”
