Why Logic Manufactured Bespoke decided to invest in ISO 9001

Logic Manufactured Bespoke are planter experts, specialising in an ecosystem of modular planter and seating components that can be easily configured to create unique designs.

The North East based business has undertaken several prestigious projects including Sugarhouse Island in London. Logic Manufactured Bespoke were commissioned for the external seating and tables in the community area and private gardens at Sugarhouse Island, to enable people to relax in the sun and enjoy the local habitat.

Operating UK and Europe wide currently, Logic Manufactured Bespoke hopes to expand operations to a global level utilising the framework provided from their quality management system.

Financial Controller, Richard O’Donnell described “We were already carrying out the work that was required for ISO 9001 but documenting activities required centralising and we had no professional certification. We wanted to demonstrate to stakeholders that we were operating to the highest level.

Having ISO 9001 in places gives our customers and suppliers that extra level of trust. Our main customer is residential developments and we wanted to showcase our professionalism be implementing a globally recognised quality management system.”

The Process

Richard explained that he met Mark in a previous role and knew the support he could get from Compliant was professional and reliable. Richard reached out to Mark to support in getting started with ISO 9001.

Initially, Compliant carried out a GAP Analysis for Logic Manufactured Bespoke. This included identifying gaps within their current procedures with Compliant providing templates for any areas that were missing. The team at Logic Manufactured Bespoke were then able to populate these templates and between the documents they already in place and the new one created a new, bespoke management system was developed ahead of audit.

The Outcome

The outcome was extremely successful with Logic Manufactured Bespoke. With the Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits now completed Logic Manufactured Bespoke will hold certification for a year until their surveillance in January 2024.

Richard added “The entire process has been extremely smooth. Having known Mark previously I had confidence that we would achieve certification with very few issues. The team and I were pleased with the outcome and look forward to promoting our new certification.”
